On 2 April 2025, the highest point was reached of Canvas Living, the first housing project within the large-scale transformation of Brainpark Rotterdam into a vibrant live/work area. An important milestone: with the installation of the roof floor of the lift structure, completion, scheduled for Q1 2026, is another step closer.
During a festive moment, all construction workers at Waal were put in the limelight by client Greystar (International). The Kraaijvanger team was also present to toast this joint success together.
A major project
Canvas Living comprises approximately 31,900 m² and provides space for 614 rental flats. A mix of 379 studios and 235 two-room flats. The residences are specially designed for students, starters and young professionals. With shared facilities, a green roof garden and underground mobility solutions, the building contributes to a sustainable, inclusive and vibrant city district.
The power of cooperation
As with project SEM, the entire Kraaijvanger family is involved in the realisation of Canvas Living:
This close cooperation makes it possible to approach projects integrally: from initial sketch to digital realisation and experience.
