This week marked the official kick-off of the large-scale sustainability transformation of PwC's Westgate II headquarters in Amsterdam. In collaboration with PwC, Quest Funds, NEW NRG Real Estate and Aestate, Kraaijvanger Architects is working to transform the building into a Paris Proof office.
The design makes maximum use of the available space for sustainable energy generation. For instance, the roofs and the canopy above the car park will be fully equipped with solar panels. Besides these visible interventions, the climate control system will also be thoroughly modernised. Applying more efficient technologies will reduce energy consumption and significantly reduce the building's ecological footprint.
With this sustainable renovation, Westgate II contributes to the broader climate goals of PwC, Quest Funds and the Netherlands. The festive kick-off took place at the construction site together with all parties involved.
Kraaijvanger is proud to be involved as architect in this impactful project that shows how existing real estate can be made future-proof and energy-efficient.
