Two changes have taken place within the management of Kraaijvanger Architects. Dirk Jan Postel stepped down from the board as of April 1, 2022, but will remain involved with the firm as an architect. Chantal Vos was appointed associate partner as of the same date.
Last month Dirk Jan Postel reached the age of 65, therewith het submitted his shares in Kraaijvanger Architects. After more than 20 years as a partner in the firm, he ceased to be a member of the board of directors on April 1. We are pleased that he still remains involved with the office and we look forward to this new form of cooperation. From now on Dirk Jan will mainly be involved in current projects, competitions, special projects and advice.
Dirk Jan Postel (1957) has been a partner architect at Kraaijvanger Architects since 1992. He is educated at the TU/Delft. His best-known works are Museum Voorlinden (Wassenaar, 2016), City Hall Utrecht (2016), Dutch Embassy Residence (Beijing 2007), City Hall 's-Hertogenbosch (2004) and the Glass House (Almelo 1997). Transparency, spatial compositions, visual connections and an eye for detail characterize his designs.
As interior architect and associate partner, Chantal Vos is the face of the interior discipline within Kraaijvanger Architects. She has been with Kraaijvanger Architects since 2019 and has worked on large and important projects including the interiors of the PostNL headquarters in The Hague, Huis voor de Stad Helmond, Holbeinhuis and Huis voor de Stad Amersfoort. As associate partner, she will further expand her connection to our firm.
The appointing of Chantal Vos is in line with Kraaijvanger's vision: "As practical idealists, we work on circular designs for inspired living, working and learning. Architecture that gives users space, enhances the environment and gives something back to society."
As of April 2022, the management of Kraaijvanger Architects consists of:
